Pretending vs. Being a Person of True Character

I do not pretend to be anyone or anything other than who I am. Who am I? I am that I am--a mortal child of my Universe Father who dwells on Paradise. This is who I am--always seeking to become more but nothing less.

There is a fact in my experience, which I began to perceive and know the truth of, many decades ago: the truth is not popular amongst the "herd mentality" of my fellow children of God.

And in speaking of truth...talking about God is also not popular...unless...it is within the context and content of the filter of the individual, as well as the herd-beLIEf(s) of the group.

It matters not which individual or group you may name...the resulting "inclusion" or "exclusion" is directly dependent on whether you 

• think like the other person,
• talk like the other person, 
• dress like the other person,
• and act like the other person.

This is a factually consistent truth in my experience, while generally not recognized by the individual or the masses

• Who are you listening to?
• Who are you mimicking (repeating what others say--copy n' pasting)?
• Who are you dressing like--imitating?
• Who are you acting like--imitating?
• Is there no originality to you and the life you living in imitation of everyone else around you?
• Why do you eat what you eat? Why do you imitate what everyone around you eats?
• Are you "living to eat for an early death?" Are you "eating to live for a longer life?"

Hive-Mind Brain... What god Wants...god Gets...

Every moment of our lives we are making choices (even if the choices are automatic--coming from subconscious programming). 

• But the "kicker question" is: Is there any part of YOU that manifests any thought-feeling or action that is NOT in imitation of everything that you see others saying and doing?
• Is YOUR life largely "robotic" just going through the motions of life without gleaning much truth from any of it?
• Are you largely living YOUR life in "confusion jungle?"

What is Wrong with the World Today YOU Can Right

It may be said...so, I will say it in no uncertain terms. What is wrong with the world today is that the fool utters nonsense but beLIEves he speaks the truth.

What do I mean? There are so very few of God's children who ever mention our Universe Father in their daily tsunami of warring and divisive words. 

It would seem that the majority of all individual children of God want every other individual child of God to play by his and her rules.

Is it possible, from the cosmic view of hue-man civilization, we have never emotionally matured beyond the level of children who are two years of age? We...

• emotionally overreact,
• dehumanize others,
• continually point fingers at each other,
• we verbally accuse,
• call each other names,
• yell,
• scream,
• commit suicide,
• protest, riot, steal and destroy,
• go to war,
• murder each other in the name of our countries, flags, state religions (secular political religions),
• even going to the extreme of genocide,
• when we don't get our own way, 
• when he world around us won't play according to the rules we make for others to live by, 
• when we make our rules into laws, 

all because we are afraid to be real with ourselves; therefore, we are unable to be real with all others.

My God and My Absolute Truth

The fool utters nonsense but beLIEves he speaks the truth...is an accurate description of all of hue-man civilization. 

Even those individuals who belong to institutional sectarian corporate religions, who do include God, using their public communication skills to influence how others think, feel and beLIEve, do so...

• not to promote the Fatherhood of God and the Planetary Fraternity of men, women and children, but to 
• proselytize, and increase the number of those who beLIEve in their sacred writings, 
• their philosophical and religious precepts, rituals, rules, regulations and 
• mandatory code of mimicking everything which is deemed acceptable, 
• and swallow hook, line and sinker their version of their God, who 
• favors their exclusive club of beLIEvers over all others.

This passage from The Urantia Book sums up our present day (and the past) clearly and accurately:

111:4.11 This is the problem: If freewill man is endowed with the powers of creativity in the inner man, then must we recognize that freewill creativity embraces the potential of freewill destructivity. And when creativity is turned to destructivity, you are face to face with the devastation of evil and sin—oppression, war, and destruction. Evil is a partiality of creativity which tends toward disintegration and eventual destruction. All conflict is evil in that it inhibits the creative function of the inner life—it is a species of civil war in the personality.

146:2.13 12. All believers in this gospel should pray sincerely for the extension of the kingdom of heaven. Of all the prayers of the Hebrew scriptures he commented most approvingly on the petition of the Psalmist: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Purge me from secret sins and keep back your servant from presumptuous transgression.” Jesus commented at great length on the relation of prayer to careless and offending speech, quoting: “Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.” “The human tongue,” said Jesus, “is a member which few men can tame, but the spirit within can transform this unruly member into a kindly voice of tolerance and an inspiring minister of mercy.”

The Urantia Book (146 : 2 : 13)

The tongue has no bones, but it is strong enough to break a heart. So be careful with your words.

28:6.20 6 and 7. The Secret of Greatness and the Soul of Goodness. The ascending pilgrims having awakened to the import of time, the way is prepared for the realization of the solemnity of trust and for the appreciation of the sanctity of service. While these are the moral elements of greatness, there are also secrets of greatness. When the spiritual tests of greatness are applied, the moral elements are not disregarded, but the quality of unselfishness revealed in disinterested labor for the welfare of one's earthly fellows, particularly worthy beings in need and in distress, that is the real measure of planetary greatness. And the manifestation of greatness on a world like Urantia is the exhibition of self-control. The great man is not he who “takes a city” or “overthrows a nation,” but rather “he who subdues his own tongue.”

How to Rise Above the Fool Utters Nonsense but BeLIEves He Speaks the Truth

The Thought Adjuster is the gift of the Universe Father, who dwells on Paradise.

109:5.1 Supreme and self-acting Adjusters are often able to contribute factors of spiritual import to the human mind when it flows freely in the liberated but controlled channels of creative imagination. At such times, and sometimes during sleep, the Adjuster is able to arrest the mental currents, to stay the flow, and then to divert the idea procession; and all this is done in order to effect deep spiritual transformations in the higher recesses of the superconsciousness. Thus are the forces and energies of mind more fully adjusted to the key of the contactual tones of the spiritual level of the present and the future.

The Process of Aligning the Hue-man Will with the Will of God

Doing the will of God is not a one but a two-way path. You know the saying, "It takes two to tango?"

Like so many around me I hear say..."I want to know what the will of God is for my life," or "If I only knew what the will of God is in my life," such thoughts never go far enough to effect any significant degree of 1) self-correction, 2) self-discipline and self-control, 3) self-direction to alignment with the will of God within (the Thought Adjuster), and 4) the supremacy of spirit domination over mind and matter (self-mastery).

1. Who dares to declare even once in his and her life, "It is my will Father that your will be done?"
2. Who dares to act upon such "light of truth?"
3. Who dares to create self-developmental projects to advance the growth of his and her morontial soul?
4. Who dares to invite the Thought Adjuster into his and her self-developmental projects for advancement?
5. What if you were to create a single project, wherein before falling into sleep and upon arising, you invite your Thought Adjuster to help you rise above (become reattuned) a single character deficiency?

Of course, you would first have to be self-aware of that you have a character deficiency--sincerely honest enough with yourself that you observe this character deficiency behavior in yourself.

Let's say the character deficiency behavior you observe in yourself is...impatience... And you sincerely and honestly desire to vibrationally rise above your impatient attitudes toward yourself and those around you with whom you have ongoing interactions and relationships.

Here is the language I would use (and do use for my own remaining character deficiencies):

1. Divine Partner (Thought Adjuster), I invite you into the specific project, during deep sleep, to "arrest my mental currents, stay the flow, and divert my idea procession, more fully adjusting me to the key of the contactual tones of the spiritual level of my present and future."
2. I further invite into me your Spirit of Truth, Creator Father, to reinforce these deep changes, so that I may over come this character deficiency of ________________.
3. I further invite the assistance of my guardian angel(s) to effect and reinforce these changes in my behavior.
4. It is my will to align my will with your will, Father.
5. In humility and gratitude I desire this change in my behavior. And I vow to act upon my "light of truth," in my daily life path experience and progression.

You may certainly come up with your own version of the above, simplifying it, if need be, but make it yours, in order to feel comfortable as your own thought-feeling-expression.

This technique may be creatively altered and used for any and every true, beautiful and good behavioral change in your life, with the goal of maximum effect and higher vibrational attainment by 1) self-correction, 2) self-discipline and self-control, 3) self-direction to alignment with the will of God within (the Thought Adjuster), and 4) the supremacy of spirit domination over mind and matter (self-mastery).

This is also the technique for learning to "subdue your own tongue," acting with wisdom in all of your communications with your fellow children of God.

What is "Morontia Mota?"

There are 31 references to the word "mota" in The Urantia Book. I am including them here, with links to each, inviting you to make an in depth study of the concept of "morontia mota"

In doing this study, keep in the forefront of your consciousness, the clear and unequivocal definition of "mota" given to us in the very first study passage:

4:2.7 The apparent defects of the natural world are not indicative of any such corresponding defects in the character of God. Rather are such observed imperfections merely the inevitable stop-moments in the exhibition of the ever-moving reel of infinity picturization. It is these very defect-interruptions of perfection-continuity which make it possible for the finite mind of material man to catch a fleeting glimpse of divine reality in time and space. The material manifestations of divinity appear defective to the evolutionary mind of man only because mortal man persists in viewing the phenomena of nature through natural eyes, human vision unaided by morontia mota or by revelation, its compensatory substitute on the worlds of time.

And now in bringing this article to a close, I would pose a question for you to answer:

If hue-man vision is aided by revelation, the compensatory substitute for "mota," is it possible...

• The Urantia Book is the "revelatory window" the "morontial window" into "cosmic reality," upon which the Thought Adjuster, in recreating us in morontial soul body-form, is the means by which the evolving morontial soul attains to "morontia soul maturity," wherein the mature morontia soul is living in the dual cosmic realities of both the mortal and the morontial? 
• How is it possible to read the contents of The Fifth Epochal Revelation, lifting the written concepts and principles of high mortal philosophy from the type-written pages, applying them to one's own life path experiential progression, subsequently living them, without developing "mota insight" as a self-aware maturing morontial soul (the consciousness of being conscious)?
