Jesus Said Your Faith

Has Made You Whole Born Anew

Do You Know the Difference between BeLIEf and Faith?

You will be
LIEve whatever you "choose" to beLIEve. And you will likely beLIEve the same self-limiting and self-imprisoning set of beLIEfs.

What you beLIEve to be true is directly determined by the filters (set of beLIEfs) through which you perceive yourself in relation to the rest of hue-man civilization.

And is it not an interesting perspective that taking the "f" out of beliefs you are left with be lies?

Are beLIEfs "lies" beyond which to "ascend vibrationally?"

No one will ever convince you NOT to beLIEve what you beLIEve to be true, except you..

No one can teach you how to ascend beyond beLIEf into faith. No one teach you how to have faith. You must experience faith to know it is real.

Veronica of Caesarea-Philippi

I entitled this article 'Jesus said your faith has made you whole born anew,' as a lead in to the more complete version of this woman's story, as it is revealed in The Urantia Book.

152:0.1 THE STORY OF the cure of Amos, the Kheresa lunatic, had already reached Bethsaida and Capernaum, so that a great crowd was waiting for Jesus when his boat landed that Tuesday forenoon. Among this throng were the new observers from the Jerusalem Sanhedrin who had come down to Capernaum to find cause for the Master's apprehension and conviction. As Jesus spoke with those who had assembled to greet him, Jairus, one of the rulers of the synagogue, made his way through the crowd and, falling down at his feet, took him by the hand and besought that he would hasten away with him, saying: “Master, my little daughter, an only child, lies in my home at the point of death. I pray that you will come and heal her.” When Jesus heard the request of this father, he said: “
I will go with you.

152:0.2 As Jesus went along with Jairus, the large crowd which had heard the father's request followed on to see what would happen. Shortly before they reached the ruler's house, as they hastened through a narrow street and as the throng jostled him, Jesus suddenly stopped, exclaiming, “Someone touched me.” And when those who were near him denied that they had touched him, Peter spoke up: “Master, you can see that this crowd presses you, threatening to crush us, and yet you say `someone has touched me.' What do you mean?” Then Jesus said: “I asked who touched me, for I perceived that living energy had gone forth from me.” As Jesus looked about him, his eyes fell upon a near-by woman, who, coming forward, knelt at his feet and said: “For years I have been afflicted with a scourging hemorrhage. I have suffered many things from many physicians; I have spent all my substance, but none could cure me. Then I heard of you, and I thought if I may but touch the hem of his garment, I shall certainly be made whole. And so I pressed forward with the crowd as it moved along until, standing near you, Master, I touched the border of your garment, and I was made whole; I know that I have been healed of my affliction.”

The woman who touched the hem of his garment by Harold Copping152:0.3 When Jesus heard this, he took the woman by the hand and, lifting her up, said: “Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace.” It was her faith and not her touch that made her whole. And this case is a good illustration of many apparently miraculous cures which attended upon Jesus' earth career, but which he in no sense consciously willed. The passing of time demonstrated that this woman was really cured of her malady. Her faith was of the sort that laid direct hold upon the creative power resident in the Master's person. With the faith she had, it was only necessary to approach the Master's person. It was not at all necessary to touch his garment; that was merely the superstitious part of her belief. Jesus called this woman, Veronica of Caesarea-Philippi, into his presence to correct two errors which might have lingered in her mind, or which might have persisted in the minds of those who witnessed this healing: He did not want Veronica to go away thinking that her fear in attempting to steal her cure had been honored, or that her superstition in associating the touch of his garment with her healing had been effective. He desired all to know that it was her pure and living faith that had wrought the cure.

And such superstitious beLIEfs, as Veronica had, are still widespread, today.

The Ascension Beyond BeLIEf into Faith

Perhaps no two words in any hue-man language have
(intentionally) been constructed to confuse the mind, as had belief and faith.

The hue-man children of God almost universally and commonly say..."I believe this..." "This is what I think" (believe).

And throughout a majority of religious (not religion) communities of hue-man individuals the two words "belief" and "faith" are used interchangeably, and without clear distinction.

The two meanings (intentionally) given in present day dictionaries make no clear distinction between these two words. So, it is hardly something at which to wonder why the hue-man child of God is "programmed" to beLIEve that "belief" and "faith" are one and the same.

Nothing could be further from the greater truth!

I invite you to read and re-read this following section of Paper 101 - The Real Nature of Religion. (You would do well for yourself to read this whole Paper over and over, again, until the deep truths it contains are lifted off the written page and become a "living part of you.")

101:8.1 Belief has attained the level of faith when it motivates life and shapes the mode of living. The acceptance of a teaching as true is not faith; that is mere belief. Neither is certainty nor conviction faith. A state of mind attains to faith levels only when it actually dominates the mode of living. Faith is a living attribute of genuine personal religious experience. One believes truth, admires beauty, and reverences goodness, but does not worship them; such an attitude of saving faith is centered on God alone, who is all of these personified and infinitely more.

(Editor's Note: God--Our Paradise Father, the Eternal Son and Infinite Spirit are Truth, Beauty and Goodness Personified. These eternal personalities are the Absolute embodiment and manifestation of Truth, Beauty and Goodness.)

101:8.2 Belief is always limiting and binding; faith is expanding and releasing. Belief fixates, faith liberates. But living religious faith is more than the association of noble beliefs; it is more than an exalted system of philosophy; it is a living experience concerned with spiritual meanings, divine ideals, and supreme values; it is God-knowing and man-serving. Beliefs may become group possessions, but faith must be personal. Theologic beliefs can be suggested to a group, but faith can rise up only in the heart of the individual religionist.

101:8.3 Faith has falsified its trust when it presumes to deny realities and to confer upon its devotees assumed knowledge. Faith is a traitor when it fosters betrayal of intellectual integrity and belittles loyalty to supreme values and divine ideals. Faith never shuns the problem-solving duty of mortal living. Living faith does not foster bigotry, persecution, or intolerance.

101:8.4 Faith does not shackle the creative imagination,
neither does it maintain an unreasoning prejudice toward the discoveries of scientific investigation. Faith vitalizes religion and constrains the religionist heroically to live the golden rule. The zeal of faith is according to knowledge, and its strivings are the preludes to sublime peace.

Once you understand the clear and unequivocal difference between beLIEf and faith, you will know why I have chosen to live by the following principle:

Be willing to "entertain" all. Then, be just as willing to "shed" all that does not have the "ring of truth, beauty and goodness," and does not resonate with your direct experience of living that which is true, beautiful and good in your relations with your fellow beings.

One of the Truer Meanings of Jesus Said Your Faith Has Made You Whole Born Anew

Hue-man beLIEfs are "rooted" in fear. Fear and Faith cannot co-exist in the hue-man mind. No hue-man child of God can serve two masters.

BeLIEf is the "great enslaver" of the hue-man mind. Faith is the "great liberator" of the hue-man child of God.

Thus, it is forever a greater truth (truer experiential meaning) that the moment you "choose" to let go of "limiting and binding beLIEfs" you are exercising a greater faith in God by aligning the hue-man will with the Paradise Father's will.

And the moment you exercise this "greater faith" you are "raised up" in mind vibration (born anew). And this is the "truer meaning" of Jesus said your faith has made you whole born anew.

Such experience of internal cleansing--the "death" (release) of the old (beLIEf) that the seed of greater truth may take root in the decay you leave behind is a "living experience" of the "life-changing" connection to Father's indwelling divine spirit--The Thought Adjuster.

Your faith making you whole--being born anew is never a one-time event in hue-man experience. It may become (by true intentional choosing) a periodic and eventually a continuous renewal within--realignment of the hue-man will with the will of God whose very divine spirit indwells your hue-man mind.

"Allow" Father's indwelling divine spirit to be your "true life partner," while here in temporary material form and your "eternal partner" in the grand and supreme journey to Paradise where the Universe Father, the Eternal Son and Infinite Spirit eternally dwell and call Home.
