Spiritual Hinterland Meaning

Choose Eternal Life or Death?

So many, many have something of an understanding, but no clear discernment of what it means to be endowed with physical, mental and spiritual powers, plus the endowment of personality and a divine Thought Adjuster.

These spiritual gifts endow the mortal child of God with the "priceless powers of freewill choosing."

The priceless powers of freewill choosing means that you have the opportunity to make a final choice between eternal life and eternal death (cessation of existence.)

And while our Paradise Father would not that even one of his mortal children should perish into cessation of existence, he has from the beginning of Universe creation declared that no one, not even Him, is allowed to interfere with the "free will choosing" of his children, mortal and morontial.

There is a Type of Death that is Eternal (Cessation of Existence)

The concept of the soul being evolutionary in origin (like the hue-man fetus) and dependent upon moral growth experiences within the mind (which feed the growth of the soul) is almost wholly alien to the mortal children of God on Earth (Urantia).

This is a spiritual hinterland meaning which may be best described and understood, as follows:
112:3.1 ...1. Spiritual (soul) death. If and when mortal man has finally rejected survival, when he has been pronounced spiritually insolvent, morontially bankrupt, in the conjoint opinion of the Adjuster and the surviving seraphim, when such co-ordinate advice has been recorded on Uversa, and after the Censors and their reflective associates have verified these findings, thereupon do the rulers of Orvonton order the immediate release of the indwelling Monitor. But this release of the Adjuster in no way affects the duties of the personal or group seraphim concerned with that Adjuster-abandoned individual. This kind of death is final in its significance irrespective of the temporary continuation of the living energies of the physical and mind mechanisms. From the cosmic standpoint the mortal is already dead; the continuing life merely indicates the persistence of the material momentum of cosmic energies.
47:2.7 When material life has run its course, if no choice has been made for the ascendant life, or if these children of time definitely decide against the Havona adventure, death automatically terminates their probationary careers. There is no adjudication of such cases; there is no resurrection from such a second death. They simply become as though they had not been.
112:5.9 This does not mean that human beings are to enjoy a second opportunity in the face of the rejection of a first, not at all. But it does signify that all will creatures are to experience one true opportunity to make one undoubted, self-conscious, and final choice. The sovereign Judges of the universes will not deprive any being of personality status who has not finally and fully made the eternal choice; the soul of man must and will be given full and ample opportunity to reveal its true intent and real purpose.
And there is no doubt than many, many mortals live out their lives on that spiritual hinterland meaning edge of faith, beLIEf, self-doubt, agnosticism, atheism and outright rebellion (against all that is true, beautiful, and good); the self-doubters, agnostics, atheists and openly rebellious (against God) never making a "final decision."

But even a devout atheist who has led a normal life of choosing good over evil--service to others over selfish self-focus, may be led at the last minute of life to make an instantaneously abrupt about face (repentance) and embrace God's presence and will.

But when you  speak of those who commit iniquitous acts, day in and day out, you are not speaking of work-a-day agnostics and self-doubt. You are speaking of those who have fully embraced "godlessness," open rebellion against our Creator Father and Paradise Father.

The choice between eternal life and eternal death is reality, not hazy and metaphysical philosophizing.

What Constitutes the Choice for "Eternal Life?"

Somewhere along the way, the word "faith and beLIEf" became interchangeable. They are not interchangeable. They never were and never will be.

And like so many words and concepts, whose true meanings have been obscured, the obscuring of word meanings and concepts is intentional.

Spiritual hinterland meaning are intentionally misconstrued by evildoers, who desire that we remain asleep to true meanings, because it otherwise threatens their control over us.

And this is one of many reasons why reading The Urantia Book for the last 50 years has been so powerful in taking me out of spiritual hinterland meaning and into the clear light of day.

Even though there is a great gulf between the true meanings of beLIEf and faith, even the slightest hint of a beLIEf is enough to hold the faithless and belligerent child of God over to a dispensational roll call.

Those who are "lazy-minded" and mimic the behavior of the "hue-man herd" do not immediately go to the Mansion Training Worlds. They must wait for a period of centuries until hue-man civilization is ready to take another leap forward.

But those who once having found God within their own minds and become the "faith-sons" of God, are resurrected immediately on the Mansion Training Worlds.
